Hey Y'all Takes a Ride at the Lynnville Railway Museum

Updated: Apr 12, 2023

When you travel to Lynnville, the first thing that catches your attention is the 1927 Baldwin Steam Locomotive sitting next to the Lynnville Train Depot. This Steam Engine arrived rusted and needed repair. A dedicated group of men spent many hours sandblasting, welding and painting the old engine.

The depot is home to the Train museum with a collection of memorabilia and information about the history of the railroad in this area. Attached to the engine is a 1920’s passenger coach-2587 that displays the history of Milky Way Farm and Frank Mars. Behind the passenger car is a flat car followed by a caboose.

The engine is fun to get up into and sit on the seat that many engineers have occupied.
