Heading to Tennessee for distilleries? Here's your ultimate whiskey itinerary for South Central Tennessee.
Day 1
Morning:
Arrive at the Tennessee Whiskey Trailhead and Lynchburg Welcome Center at 133 Lynchburg Highway, Lynchburg, TN.
10:00 AM: Start your day with a tour of the world-renowned Jack Daniel Distillery. The tour will walk you through the history and process of Jack Daniel's whiskey. Make sure to reserve your spot in advance, as it can get quite busy.
Lunch:
12:30 PM: After your tour, head over to Miss Mary Bobo's for lunch. This Lynchburg institution has been serving up Southern home-style food since 1908. Enjoy a family-style meal and taste the local cuisine.
Afternoon:
2:00 PM: Spend your afternoon exploring Downtown Lynchburg. You can visit a variety of shops including the historic Lynchburg Hardware and General Store, a favorite of Jack Daniel himself, Lynchburg Harley Davidson, and more.
Travel to Cascade Hollow Distilling Company:
3:30 PM: After shopping, travel to the Cascade Hollow Distilling Company (about a 40-minute drive). Home of George Dickel Tennessee Whisky, you can take a tour and sample their fine spirits. Make sure to check their operating hours and tour schedules.

Day 2
Travel to Nearest Green Distillery:
10:00 AM: After the tour at Cascade Hollow, continue your journey to the Nearest Green Distillery (about a 45-minute drive). Known as the original home of Tennessee Whiskey, a tour here provides a deep dive into the rich history and traditional methods of distilling.
Lunch:
12:00 PM: End your day with a hearty lunch at Barrel House BBQ #2, conveniently located on-site at Nearest Green Distillery. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and delicious barbecue to wrap up your Tennessee Whiskey adventure.
