Located on the banks of the beautiful Piney River, Piney River Resort is a family-friendly RV camping paradise just 15 miles from Centerville, TN and only 50 miles from downtown Nashville,TN.
Locals already know how amazing the resort is, but now it’s finally getting noticed nationally!
Campspot, the largest RV park reservation system in the United States, recently nominated Piney River Resort the second best hidden gem camping spot in the nation out of more than 130,000 RV sites.
Casey See, principal of Piney River Resort, believes one reason their campground stands out is because of its location on the Piney River.
“Some people call the Piney River, the clearest, cleanest river in this part of the state,” he said.
See also mentioned that their stellar online reviews don’t hurt either.
“We're like a 4.9 on all our Facebook reviews and like a 4.7 or 4.8 on our Google reviews,” he said. “So our customer service, our guest services are exceptional. Our people are exceptional.”
Although it’s a popular camping spot, Piney River Resort isn’t just a place to sleep while you’re traveling. It’s a vacation spot itself with 46 riverfront RV sites with pavilions, tiny home rentals, community bonfire areas, and individual fire pits. Choose from concrete, gravel, or grass pad sites with easy hookups and immediate access to the Piney River.
From your spot on the river, you can kayak, fish, or just lounge in the sun.
Plus, stay connected to others and make sure your river selfies go through with free broadband wifi!
“We always set out to create very special experiences and memories for families,” See added. “So to be thrown in the category of hidden gems and destinations literally in the United States in the campground space, that's very, very honoring.”
There are many more special experiences in the works too, See tells Experience Tennessee.
They just finished installing playground equipment with swing sets and a little climbing dome. Starting in June, they’ll have their tent from Tents for Troops available for free to military families for up to two or three day stays. Later this year, they plan to open reservations for glamping tents.
