About the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association
Experience Tennessee and ExperienceTN.com are the official forward-facing brands of the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association (SCTTA)—the regional organization dedicated to showcasing the people, places, and experiences that make our region of the state unforgettable.

Created by the State of Tennessee, SCTTA is a non-profit tourism agency with a simple mission: to strengthen our region’s economy and communities by supporting, promoting, and developing tourism. We work to elevate local destinations, empower our partners, and help travelers discover the authentic stories woven throughout South Central Tennessee.

As one of nine regional tourism organizations recognized by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, SCTTA collaborates closely with the state to deliver strategic marketing, tourism development initiatives, and grant opportunities that benefit our service area.

Our Region
SCTTA proudly represents a diverse and scenic 13-county region—Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Perry, and Wayne—along with 37 cities and towns and hundreds of rural communities. Together, we highlight the culture, landscapes, and hospitality that define Tennessee’s heartland.

What We Operate
Beyond the Experience Tennessee brand, SCTTA also manages several key tourism assets and sub-regions, including:
-
The Tennessee Whiskey Trailhead & Welcome Center in Lynchburg
-
Tennessee Whiskey Country
-
Nashville’s Big Back Yard
-
Tennessee’s Amish Country

These initiatives help visitors explore everything from the state’s legendary distilling heritage to its vibrant outdoor and rural destinations.

Supporting the Future of Tourism
SCTTA is an exclusive supporter and partner of the Experience Fund, part of the Tennessee Tourism Investment Project Organization. This fund fuels tourism growth through support for DMOs and industry partners, development of new tourism assets, and long-term sustainability efforts throughout South Central Tennessee.
