Your Guide to Family Fun in Spring Hill

Planning a visit to Spring Hill this year? Bring the whole family! There are plenty of things to do city-wide for all ages, from a collection of beautiful parks to indoor and outdoor activities galore. Whether you’re entertaining a toddler or a teenager, we’ve gathered the ultimate guide to family fun in Spring Hill.

Play in the parks

Outside is the place to be in Spring Hill, thanks in large part to the number of parks sprinkled throughout the city. Enjoy the slides and swings at Harvey Park’s large playground and pack a picnic to enjoy at its outdoor public pavilion—or head to the 30-acre Fischer Park at Port Royal, home to all of Harvey’s amenities and then some. Take a family hike through its half-mile walking trail, or play ball on one of the resident football fields or basketball and tennis courts.

Cool off at the splash pad

Fischer Park has another draw for anyone looking for a break from the Tennessee heat: a giant splash pad with water spray features and other colorful obstacles. Naturally drawing crowds in the summertime, the splash pad welcomes all ages from toddlers to older kids and even adults. Grab your swimsuit and flip flops for an afternoon of family fun in the sun.

Attend a festival

Festivals are aplenty in the South, and Spring Hill hosts myriad family-friendly events all year long. Pickin’ in the Park has been a Spring Hill mainstay for 10 years and counting, running from May throughout the warmer months. The concert series draws crowds of community members gathered on blankets and singing along to artists spanning genres like country, folk, pop and rock. Be sure to check the calendar of events for Pickin’ in the Park and other events popping up throughout the year.

See a movie

On rainy, chilly or oppressively humid Southern days, make memories with a family trip to the movies. Spring Hill’s AMC Classic theater plays all the latest films on its silver screens. The neon lights and smells of buttery popcorn wafting throughout the theater will transport you straight to yesteryear. Pro tip: AMC offers discounted movie tickets and snacks every Tuesday!
