Hum to the tunes at Harvey Park

Centrally located near the heart of Spring Hill, Harvey Park is an outdoor destination with plenty of green space and recreational amenities. The park is home to a large playground, a picnic pavilion and a walking trail, with plans to add a 1.3-mile greenway path soon. Plan a visit during the warmer months to enjoy Harvey Park’s outdoor music series, Pickin’ in the Park.

Make a splash at Fischer Park

As the largest park in Spring Hill, Fischer Park at Port Royal is 30 acres of jam-packed outdoor fun. While the park is home to a playground, three covered pavilions, a half-mile walking trail and sports facilities for basketball, tennis and football, one of its most notable claims to fame is the expansive splash pad operating in agreeable weather from 10am to 7pm. Plus, the park hosts annual events like Campin’ in the Park and movie nights in the amphitheater.

Shred at Walnut Street Skate Park

Thrill seekers, pay a visit to Walnut Street Skate Park, which welcomes skateboards, inline skates, BMX freestyle bikes and non-motorized scooters. The concrete park has plenty of ramps and rails to challenge skaters from beginner to pro, but safety always comes first, and helmets and pads are required.

Play ball at McLemore and Evans Parks

Batter up! No matter your sport, Spring Hill has a number of parks and fields to cheer on the little leaguers or to plan your own friendly game. Head to Evans Park, a recreational site with multi-use athletic fields and a concession stand, or to McLemore Ave Park, a pocket park home to a small playground and basketball court.

Walk through the Spring Hill Battlefield Civil War Site

Visit the site of the 1864 Civil War conflict, the Battle of Spring Hill. While much of the actual battlefield has long since been developed, Jerry Erwin Park remains as a green space with historical markers along the trail head so you can get in your steps with a side of history.

Get the zoomies out at the Bark Park

Your furry friends and their family members will enjoy a visit to the Bark Park inside Evans Park, a recently renovated, off-leash dog park perfect for zooming, playing fetch and sniffing new friends. The park includes plenty of space to play, plus obstacles and seating areas for dog parents to relax.
