Experience delicious food, refreshing drinks, fantastic music at Lynchburg Music Fest

Lynchburg Music Fest kicked off Thursday, July 8, welcoming concertgoers, fun seekers and food lovers for three days of music, excitement and succulent food. After the pandemic brought a year without many opportunities to provide their delicious treats, food truck vendors are excited to offer their tasty meals. Fans were showering them with support Thursday. Gather your family and friends and head to Lynchburg Music Fest today (July 9) and tomorrow to experience tasty food, refreshing drinks and fantastic music.

One of the food trucks at the festival is Bad Boys Bar-B-Q. Owner Randy Glenn welcomes you to enjoy the taste of sweet, spicy and smoky meats.

“Whatever you are in the mood for – beef, chicken, pork – we’ve got it,” Glenn said. Glenn has been perfecting his technique for smoking pulled pork, chicken, brisket and ribs for nearly two decades. According to badboysbarbq.com, he “takes pride in his craft and uses only aged hickory, pecan and apple wood to bring out that distinct sought-after flavor making his BBQ second to none.” The recipes come from Glenn’s grandmothers.

“I’ve been doing this for 20 years, 15 of them full time,” Glenn said. “We set up four days a week in our hometown, McMinnville, Tennessee.”

This is Glenn’s third time at Lynchburg Music Fest.

“I love the music and we get to have some fun,” Glenn said.

When you’re ready for dessert and a cold drink, stop by Texas Twister.

“Texas Twister is a beverage with freshly squeezed lemons, limes, oranges, mixed with our own secret recipe, and we shake it up with ice,” said Shawn Todd, with Texas Twister. “It’s very refreshing and not too sweet. We also offer drizzled delights – we have strawberry and banana kebabs that we drizzle in warm chocolate and a frozen cheesecake on a stick that we also drizzle with warm chocolate. We live in Gallatin, Tennessee. This is our second year at the festival. We had a really good time last year. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and establishing good relationships with other vendors. We learn about other events, and we network.”

Todd invites you to visit the Texas Twister booth at Lynchburg Music Fest.

“Texas Twister is very unique,” Todd said. “We have a very unique offering. You can’t buy Texas Twister drinks anywhere else but at this event in Tennessee. There are other Texas Twister vendors in the West. We brought this taste to the South at the end of 2019, so it’s new here in Tennessee.”
